Congratulations to Diane Rodd, RN, this quarter’s Wood County Distinguished Public Health Employee!
Diane has been with the Wood County Health Department for 15 years. In this time she has displayed a great deal of leadership and wealth of knowledge. Diane works hard, is passionate about her work, is an outstanding team player, and strives for excellence in all areas of her work.
Her nomination particularly cited diligence in assuring a smooth vaccine move with our relocation, maintaining our vaccine inventory in an effective manner, handling the pertussis outbreak with a smile, being very flexible with clinic coverage, and always being helpful with questions, phone calls, and unexpected visitors. We also appreciate the time and effort she invests in assuring our students have a positive and worthwhile experience while here. We thank Diane for her outstanding contributions to public health in Wood County! It is with great pride and honor that we commend her for her accomplishments. Diane’s outstanding work enriches our department and community.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin’s Population Health Institute have unveiled the second annual County Health Rankings. Nearly every county in the country is ranked on health outcomes (how healthy we are) and on health factors (how healthy we can be). This information helps counties see where they are doing well and where they are not, so they can make changes to improve health. Visit the link below for more information.
