What is Wellness?
Worksite Wellness can be defined as "an organized program in the worksite that is
intended to assist employees and their family members in making voluntary behavior
changes that reduce their health risk and enhance their individual productivity
and well-being."
Wellness is an active, lifelong process
of becoming aware of choices and making decisions toward a more balanced and fulfilling
life. This process can lead to a healthier state of well-being that allows individuals
and communities to thrive.
Wellness includes finding a balance between all the dimensions:
- Social
- Physical
- Intellectual
- Spiritual
- Career
- Emotional
- Environmental

We’re kicking off the 2012 Wellness Program with a big incentive this quarter! All benefits eligible employees can earn a $100 cash incentive just for completing the following steps:
1) Participate in the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) with biometric screening 2) Set a wellness goal with a Health Coach 3) Receive a free Influenza vaccination (or other activities from the enclosed 2012 Wellness Program Outline)
Participating in the HRA will help you gain a better understanding of your overall well being, identify possible health risks and set goals to make improvements. Wood County leaders encourage you to complete these steps and participate in the 2012 Wellness program to help you achieve and maintain your best possible level of health. Check out the new Wellness program to see how you can earn up to $175 in cash incentives throughout the year.
